ABSTRACT. Fishing was conducted from September to November 2010 in the Oder River Estuary. The aim of the study was to examine the effectiveness of the angling spinning method using perch scent attractors. The material consisted of 254 samples of various species. Three main species in the catches were perch, pike-perch, and pike. The average length (TL) of all fish caught was 20.3 cm at an average weight of 0.1 kg. The largest fish caught during the study in terms of length (TL) were: pike-perch 40.0 cm, pike 40.0 cm, and perch 22.0 cm. The attractor Sensas caught 108 fish. This type of bait was proven effective in catching perch, followed by pike-perch and pike. The attractor Trapper was slightly less effective. This type of bait caught 90 fish. In catches without attractor bait, only 52 fish were caught. The study results proved the effectiveness of the attractors tested. One can assumed that catches with the addition of the attractor scent enhances the efficiency of fishing perch with the spinning method from 8 to 29%, pike-perch from 16 to 18%, and pike from 15 to 31%. It was also found that the attractors were more effective in lower temperature waters.
