ABSTRACT. The article presents the average wholesale prices of commercial fishes and the average prices of stocking material used in 2021 by those authorized to fish the waters of lakes, rivers, and dam reservoirs in which fisheries districts have been designated. Prices were calculated based on information obtained from survey questionnaires from 44 entities that exploited a total of 197,574 ha of fisheries district waters. The prices of commercial fishes from 2021 were compared with those from the survey conducted in 2019, and prices increased for 17 of the 19 species and assortments. The most frequently caught species and assortments were those for which more than 50% of respondents reported prices. These were: eel, Anguilla anguilla; vendace, Coregonus albula; pikeperch, Sander lucioperca; pike, Esox lucius; tench, Tinca tinca; crucian carp, Carassius carassius; perch, Perca fluviatilis (DS, large and medium); common bream, Abramis brama (D and S, large and medium), roach, Rutilus rutilus (S and M, medium and small). In comparison to prices from 2019, among the 23 stocking material forms for which prices were reported in 2021, the prices of 19 forms increased. The most frequently used forms for which prices were reported by more than 50% of respondents included farmed eel, vendace hatch, pike hatch and fall fry, pikeperch summer fry, and two-year-old tench and carp, Cyprinus carpio. These species and assortments were the most frequently stocked fishes in the fisheries districts and were the most important in stocking management.
